I arranged Come, Ye Thankful People, Come to have a similar feel to the classic praise song Let Everything That Has Breath. Fun fact: I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to record guitars with one of the “fathers” of worship guitar – Kendall Combes, who played with the Charlie Hall Band for many years. When we sat down to record Come, Ye Thankful People, Come I told him I wanted it to sound like Let Everything That Has Breath. He said “Let’s pull up a YouTube video to hear how it sounded.” After listening to the live Passion recording from many years ago he laughed and said “that’s me playing on the video!”
