I originally arranged Rejoice, the Lord Is King way back in 2004 and I’ve now updated the vocal and instrumental parts, added transposed chord charts, multitracks and created vocal demos and stereo tracks.
The lyrics, written by Charles Wesley, date back to 1746 when the hymn was first published in his brother John Wesley’s Moral and Sacred Poems. The lyrics have changed very little in over 250 years.
Try using Rejoice, the Lord is King as an upbeat call to worship. Or start an upbeat praise set with Rejoice the Lord is King, flow directly into Sing to the King and continue on with a few more praise songs. Bump Rejoice up a key to D and lead it with a tenor worship leader, then flow directly into Sing to the King in D led by an alto worship leader.
Rejoice the Lord Is King WITH Sing to the KingThe demo is sung by Kirk Kirkland, the talented son of arranger Camp Kirkland.
