From HymnCharts arranger Don Chapman:
Face to Face is one of my first HymnCharts arrangements – I created it in 2002. As I’m going back to record these hymns, it’s interesting to note how songs and arrangements have changed over the past twelve years.
It seemed like almost every arrangement in 2002 had a key change at the end. When was the last time you modulated on the final verse these days? I can’t remember 🙂
So I now have two versions of Face to Face: one with a key change and one without.
The key change version is recorded in what I’d call a more “classic” worship style – with oboe and rich three-part vocals.
The non-key change version updates the sound to a slightly more contemporary style with a touch of electric guitar and a more modern lead vocal. HymnCharts arrangements are flexible enough that you can tailor them to your worship style.

Very beautiful arrangement of Face to Face! I’m going to incorporate this into our service very soon. You’re right – how often do we sing about heaven? I have a friend who will quite possibly be seeing Jesus face to face very soon unless God provides a miracle. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow – are we ready?
Thank you, Don, for another beautiful Hymncharts arrangement!
